Our good buddy CP Wade put the 'kabosh' on this 43" inch monster scimitar-horned oryx at Porter's Exotics Ranch in Flynn, Texas to wrap up 2011. His little hunting partner in the picture is 'Jack (the Wonderdog)'. Oryx (as well as addax & dama gazelle) will be hunted by permit only after April 4, 2012 as a result of this month's USFW ruling.

Dr. Pat Gibson's potential SCI #2 Typical Axis, taken this past weekend near San Angelo, Texas at a ranch owned by Brian Hemphill. The buck rough scored just over 165"! Although not possessing extremely long beams, this deer makes up for it w/ brows and huge MASS! Congrats guys!

Escondido Ranch was recently the ‘Texas stop’ for Eric Edmundson, a wounded Army Sargeant & Purple Heart recipient, on his quest to fulfill a lifelong dream of hunting big game across the United States. His 9,000 mile journey is supported by the Wounded Warrior Project and will include hunts for gator, pronghorn and exotics. At Escondido Ranch, Eric was able to harvest a beautiful Axis buck, thanks to perfect heart/lung shot, with the aide of his custom made Razor, equipped with a joy stick.
