EWA’s 44th Annual Membership Meeting

The 44th Annual Exotic Wildlife Association Membership Meeting is being held March 11th and 12th, 2011 at the Inn of the Hills Resort and Conference Center in Kerrville, TX. The Exotic Wildlife Association’s mission is “to encourage and expand the conservation of both native and non-native hoofstock, and to help [their] members develop and strengthen the markets for their animals” and with a membership of over 3,700 exotic enthusiasts, their once-a-year event is not one to be missed!

Just a  few of the weekend’s activities…

Friday
Ranch tour and seminars will be held at Whiskey Canyon Ranch in Kerrville, TX on Friday afternoon.  Seminars will include experts from the industry on: Game Fencing, Prescribed Burn, Habitat and Forage Identification, Texas Wildlife Services, Nutrition, Transporting Animals and Capture Facilities.

Friday night kicks off with entertainment from the Meyer Anderson Band. You can dance the night away with some of the finest country and western, 50’s and 60’s music in this part of Texas.

Saturday

This guy is headed there now...

The most important activity associated with the Annual Membership Meeting is the annual election of directors, which takes place during the General Membership Meeting, Saturday morning, starting at 9 am.  Remember, these elected individuals set the policies and procedures for this association.  Saturday afternoon the EWA’s 9th annual Video Animal Auction will take place with some of the finest non-native hoofstock consignments to be found anywhere.  This is an excellent opportunity to buy or sell or just improve the genetics on your ranch.

Saturday night will conclude the membership meeting with the EWA awards banquet and annual fund raiser and some of the finest live entertainment in the country.

EWA Hosts Poker Tourney

Whitetail, Axis, Sika Hunt Special

Double Diamond Outfitters is currently running a very special on hunts for whitetails, axis, and sika on one of their Texas ranches.  This particular ranch is removing all animals in order to make room for future restocking genetics.  The 1,000 acre ranch is located just east of the intersection of Blanco & 46.  This is a very rare and special opportunity to hunt whitetail or exotics at a ‘can’t be beat’ price!  Special Prices are as follows:

*all prices are good so long as atleast 2 animals are taken during the hunt.
