It’s been a busy Spring at Brushy Creek Outdoors. Lots of big exotics have hit the dirt. We wanted to share a few with you…
Ruben Garza of San Antonio, Texas, took this magnificent axis buck (left) in full velvet this past weekend. The buck sports 33″ main beams and had a 26 & 1/2″ inside spread. Brushy Creek owner, Glen Molitor told us that Ruben had been chasing a big axis for two years and as a result of this hunt he left a “happy camper”!
Hunter, Eric Click was equally successful. He was fortunate enough to harvest a unique red stag (right) that possessed a double crown. A tremendous trophy for any exotic lover!
Located in Bryan/College Station, Texas, Brushy Creek offers 650 acres of high fenced, prime Texas hunting for Whitetail Deer, Axis Deer, Red Deer, Fallow Deer, Blackbuck, Texas Dall Sheep and Wild Hogs. They have a full hunting lodge facility, making it the ideal hunting ranch for the experienced hunter down to a first-time youth hunter.

Chase Lambin was able to connect on this fantastic axis buck, his first axis ever. Chase is currently playing professional baseball, as an infielder for the Minnesota Twins. He took his trophy axis on a family friend’s private ranch near Rocksprings, Texas on December 20, 2010. The buck scores 146″ SCI, which qualifies as Silver in the SCI Record Books (and merely 2 inches from being Gold)! During the hunt, Chase also narrowly missed harvesting a monster blackbuck. As a result of the weekend hunt, Chase admitted that he’d officially caught the “exotic bug”. Thanks for sharing, Chase, and continued success on the field and in the woods!

Rusty Baker's blackbuck
Be prepared for some fireworks when the crew of Rusty Baker Outdoors invades Porter’s Exotics. Yesterday’s trophy pics from the ranch are the proof! RBO host, Rusty Baker, was able to connect on a beautiful 21″ blackbuck antelope and Jeff Edwards of College Station was successful harvesting a tremendous sika deer. (Jeff must have been in a hurry to get back to town because the only pics we got were of his guide and ranch foreman, CP Wade posing w/his deer!) Look for both of these hunts to be
featured on the Rusty Baker Outdoors TV Show next season.

Brian Quaca, better known as “Pig Man”, took time out of his busy schedule chasing those pesky pokers to harvest this nice nilgai bull. This South Texas bull was aged at 5 years old.
Brian, along with his father, Tom “Dapper” Quaca, host the popular outdoor tv show “Leoupold’s Pigman: The Series”. First airing in 2009, the fast paced, harcore hog-slaying hunting show has quickly developed a cult-like following from hog hunting lovers everywhere.
